Before and After

Joint

Joint repair is a complex process that involves the proliferation and differentiation of several cell types, including chondrocytes and synoviocytes. Injured joint tissues release cytokines and growth factors which initiate an inflammatory response. The proliferative phase involves the synthesis of extracellular matrix components such as collagen and proteoglycans to restore tissue integrity. Finally, remodeling occurs.

Wound

Wound repair is a complex and dynamic process that involves four overlapping stages: hemostasis, inflammation, proliferation, and remodeling. During hemostasis, a blood clot forms to stop bleeding. In the inflammation phase, immune cells clear debris and release growth factors. In the proliferation phase, new tissue forms to fill the wound, and in the remodeling phase, the extracellular matrix is reorganized to restore tissue function.

Hair

Hair growth is a cyclical process that involves three stages: anagen, catagen, and telogen. During the anagen phase, hair follicles actively grow and divide. In the catagen phase, hair growth slows and follicles shrink. Finally, during the telogen phase, hair rests and falls out, and the cycle restarts. Various factors such as genetics, hormones, and age can affect the duration and quality of each phase, ultimately influencing hair growth.
